New to OutSystems Platform?
The Silk UI framework has been built on top of OutSystems Platform, extending its amazing Enterprise RAD capabilities. Learn more about OutSystems Platform.
Follow the easy instructions to get started with Silk UI in your OutSystems environment.
Select the Template from Forge
Explore the various Silk UI Templates in Forge, which implement the presented Themes, and select the one which most suits you.
Easily apply your own branding by using on of the available customizers.
Install to your Environment
Install the Template directly from Forge or from your Development Environment (first tab). It will be installed along with the latest version of the Silk UI framework.
OutSystems P9 is required and 9.0.1 is highly recommended.
Create your New Application
In the Development Environment, follow "New Application" and select the installed Template for the first module. In this eSpace you'll find the all the Silk UI patterns already available to build your app,
Still using an OutSystems Platform previous to 9.0.1?
In that case, you have to complete this last step manually.
Enter the application of your selected theme and find the respective Template module. To get started with your themed application, open the module and clone it.
Now accelerate your development with Samples and Patterns
Copy some Page Samples
Open the Samples module. There you'll find various screens per web flows.
Just copy the sample contents of a screen and paste them into your own screen.
Drag Patterns to your Screen
In your Interface References, you'll find SilkUIFramework, containing dozens of web blocks, organized by categories.
Just drag and dropped them into your screen. 
Silk UI Framework Simulation Device
Resize the window to preview the page in target devices.
Open the settings to change the simulation device options.
